Elina Filippou on Greece’s updated special tax regime | Kathimerini

Elina Filippou, head of Private Clients, offered commentary to Kathimerini on the recent changes to the special tax regime, which aim to provide incentives for attracting foreign executives to Greece as well as for the repatriation of Greeks living abroad.

A significant percentage of applicants under the new tax regime mainly consists of the 30–35 age group who left the country during the financial crisis—executives of multinationals or startups who now recognise new professional opportunities in Greece—as well as companies that are transferring employees to Greece from other subsidiaries within their group.
