2026 marks a new phase for employment compliance in Greece, as ERGANI II entered full operation on 16 February. At today’s Employment & Payroll Breakfast, held at our offices, we examined what this transition means in practice, focusing on the key issues, practical challenges and operational changes affecting businesses.
Manolis Zacharakis, partner, and Alexandros Lamprou, senior associate, from our Employment & Labour practice, together with Irene Kasapoglou, director, and Eleni Melliou, manager, from our Tax & Accounting practice, provided practical guidance on navigating the new digital environment, the udated employment declaration categories and the abolition of existing forms, as well as the changes affecting the commencement, amendment and termination of employment contracts. They also addressed corrections, withdrawals and late filings, and outlined the immediate actions required by businesses. The discussion focused on operational impact, compliance risks and the practical steps organisations should now take to adapt to the new regulatory environment.
