We are currently seeking to fulfil the position of a System Administrator.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Install servers, devices and firewalls
- Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications
- Update technical documentation
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality
- Enhance the current Azure cloud environments Systems
- Monitor and enhance the security of current and future Azure environments
- Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environments
- Ensure federated access across Active Directory and Azure AD
- Troubleshoot and resolve Azure environment performance issues
- Work with teams to integrate Azure infrastructure components into processes and procedures
Qualifications
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus
- 5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- 5 years or more of experience in supporting applications and functions in the Azure Cloud
- Certification(s) related to the cloud environment preferred, such as MCSE: Cloud
-MS-100: Microsoft 365 Identity and Services
-MS-101: Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security
-MS-203: Microsoft 365 Messaging - Platform and Infrastructure or CCNA Cloud Preferred
