Additions to the household basket for the Easter period

By virtue of new Ministerial Decision Νο. 31614/18.04.2024 of the Ministry of Development, four (4) new products (and specifically the following: a. lamb meat, b. goat meat, c. Easter bread and d. Easter chocolate eggs and equivalent products to chocolate eggs) are added in the list of the "household basket" from 24 April 2024 until 4 May 2024 for the Easter festive period. Supermarkets with an annual turnover of more than Euro 90,000,000 per year provide the Ministry of Development with a list of consumer products included in the “household basket”, on a weekly basis every Wednesday until 9.00 a.m., and ensure that these products are always available in their stores. Following an announcement of the Greek government marking a strategic shift in the country's approach to attracting non-European Union nationals interested in obtaining a residence permit through investment in real estate property, Law 5100/2024, which includes the amendment on the new conditions for the Golden Visa residence permit, was published in the Government Gazette on 05 April 2024.
