It addresses, inter alia, the procedural requirements governing the admissible commencement of civil actions before the Greek courts, the doctrines of lis pendens and the treatment of parallel proceedings, the joinder of claims and the principles underpinning their consolidation, the conditions under which an action may be permissibly amended or supplemented in the course of pending proceedings, as well as the subject matter and objective scope of res judicata.
