Full Biography
Ioanna specialises in corporate and international taxation, with a particular focus on the financial sector and capital markets. She has extensive experience in advising both domestic and foreign corporate clients on matters of taxation.
Ioanna has significant experience advising multinational companies on the assessment of tax risks, strategies for mitigating tax exposure, and support during tax audits. She has also advised on all tax matters relating to structuring real estate acquisitions and investments, as well as restructuring real estate portfolios.
With respect to the real estate sector, her work covers all tax matters in connection with the entire property "life-cycle," from acquisition, financing, development, holding, and leasing through to exit. She advises on a variety of tax issues relating to real estate, including corporate income tax, the special real estate tax (applicable under Greek law), and real estate transfer taxes.
She has worked across various industries, including financial services (banking, real estate, insurance, investment services, regulated markets), large corporates (telecommunications, oil & gas, logistics), and the gaming sector (casinos, online gaming). She is also heavily involved in international business transactions, including joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions.
Ioanna is admitted before the Court of Appeals. She was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2014 and joined Zepos & Yannopoulos in 2021.
